Add \u003Cb\u003Ewater\u003C\/b\u003E (just enough to cover the apples), put a large spoonful of \u003Cb\u003Ewhite\u003C\/b\u003E sugar in with the water and apples and simply boil for about \u003Cb\u003E10-15 minutes\u003C\/b\u003E. If you have opted for other ingredients to make it a little more exciting then add those in alongside the rest of it.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: \u0026quot;arial\u0026quot; , \u0026quot;helvetica\u0026quot; , sans-serif;\"\u003EFor the top - add the \u003Cb\u003Eflour\u003C\/b\u003E (measurements may vary, add about 4oz but you can add onto this when needed) and the \u003Cb\u003Ebutter \u003C\/b\u003Eand mix with your fingers to create a breadcrumb texture. Once you've completed that then you need to add in the \u003Cb\u003Ebrown sugar \u003C\/b\u003E(varies again on how sweet you like it - I usually add about 3 tbsp to my crumble part!) and mix it into the mixture well.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cspan style=\"font-family: \u0026quot;arial\u0026quot; , \u0026quot;helvetica\u0026quot; , sans-serif;\"\u003EThe optional part is adding \u003Cb\u003Eoats\u003C\/b\u003E. I personally do because I enjoy an extra bit of crunch in my crumble. The whole thing would usually take me about 45 minutes, probably even less and when time is massively running out this is my go to dish. You can serve it all year round (ice cream goes great with it in the summer) and also make so many variations of it (cinnamon, sultanas, bananas, etc all taste great).
