Whyte & Brown, in Soho, is a firm favourite of mine for a slap-up meal at an exceptional reasonable price. I visited a couple of months back - and just never got round to posting, but nonetheless it's here.
If you are like me and sticking the healthy eating thing out this January then a meal like this is something one can only dream of. But you can look, and definitely not eat right? Well we shall see.
Whyte & Brown is situated in Kingly Court, so uber central and convenient. When I went it was a little warmer - but I recently visited for a few drinks too and it was a pretty cosy setup. The perfect place for Winter drinks!
I want to state now that the menus change as what I had isn't on the menu - but the others are. Nonetheless - you need to try everything. #AllOfTheFood
I had a chicken, pesto and spring onion dish which was incredible. It was light, perfect for the climate at the time, full of flavour and so tender. Chicken can sometimes be overdone in some places - definitely not the case with this meal. On the side - mac & cheese.
I mean it cannot be just me who is a cheese fiend? I mean I literally love the stuff! Par-me-san please. Shoutout for the dad jokes. Their mac & cheese was incredible - full of flavour and I wanted more.
The person I was with, #DatingLife, had their spicy chicken wrap which I am told is wonderful. The guy was lovely - but really didn't like sharing food (the main reason it didn't work out) so sadly I cannot pass comment on the other meal...but we got a photo right?!
Drinks wise - I feel I need to mention it to those of you who live in London and struggle to afford to buy toilet roll because a drink costs about £15 for one #LondonLife - the drinks here are really well priced. I bought a round of two and it cost under £10 which is extremely rare for London, especially West London. Needless to say, I took advantage - and I will continue to head back to take advantage.
So ladies, and gents, if you're peckish, poor and want to continue drinking as you did in December then head on down to Whyte & Brown. I mean even if you aren't all of the above head there anyway because it's worth a visit.
Enjoy!
