Finding that life, work, social, blogging balance is one of the toughest things. I used to laugh at the phrase "there's not enough hours in the day" when I heard it, 24 hours is loads right? Yes it is - unless you have various things, hobbies, commitments. Making the time for everything and everyone is tough - and can sometimes drain you. I'm not an expert but have managed to find a couple of ways to help discover that balance.
Plan ahead, write it down and stick to it.
I am great at planning, great at writing however when it comes to sticking to it - I kind of suck. However when I follow through my life is so much easier. I find myself having time to shop, work, blog, see friends and whatever else I have to do. The simple task of planning and sticking to it means I have the time to do what I want.
Utilise your weekday evenings.
I have learned to do this religiously. At first, I was absolutely awful at it. I came home from work just wanting to eat, bathe and bed. However once I began to use my evenings I found that blogging was once more an option, that I didn't have to leave seeing my friends or boyfriend until the weekend and that the 5/6 hours between finishing work and going to sleep add up to over 30 in just one week!
Don't stress out.
Stressing out is so counterproductive. The amount of times I have sat there working myself into a mess because of the amount of things I have had to do - it resulted in me getting absolutely nothing done. Keeping calm means I end up getting everything I need to get done completed!
The run up to Christmas isn't going to be easy - it never is. But learning to manage and actually enjoy your busy life is something of an art - or so I like to tell myself. Getting in the perfect routine is necessary!
Have a lovely week!

Perfect Imperfections
Finding balance and managing my time properly is something I've been working on a lot lately. I've found that waking up a tiny bit earlier and working on the blog then has been really successful for me. I need to utilize my evenings a little better though :)
