Visit 5 amazing places in Sicily

When visiting Sicily, you will not be short of things to do. If you plan to spend your next holidays on the island, a fantastic way to kick start your break is to rent one of these luxury villas in Sicily with a pool that has become an increasingly popular way to stay in Sicily and to temporarily live alla Siciliana.

When you're ready to get out and about to explore, a must see location is the famous mount Etna, one of the highest volcanos in Europe. If you wanted to step back in time, The Valley of the Temples is a wonderful place to visit. Agrigento is situated in the southwest of Sicily. The beautiful temple dates back to the 6th century B.C. and would be a very picturesque setting for some stunning photographs.

San Vito Lo Capo Beach in Trapani is in the northwest region of Sicily. This is a beautiful place to sit back and relax while taking in the view of the shallow crystal waters. You can also grab a bite to eat from one of the many local restaurants on the seafront. Annually, San Vito Lo Capo hosts the Cous Cous Festival. Famous chefs from all over the world come to perform live in the week long festival.

The Norman Cathedral of Sant'Agata lies in Catania. The Cathedral was originally built in 1078, but has been destroyed several times by earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. It is said, that due to the mix of stone and black lava, that by night the Cathedral creates a lunar atmosphere.

There are without a doubt many more places to visit in Sicily, and there really is something for everyone in every region. What a perfect excuse to plan a return visit and enjoy another luxury villa in Sicily.
