Geek Chic

By the title of this post you can guess the theme of the clothing today? I know it isn't on trend and quite frankly hasn't be for a while, but geek chic isn't really about that. I wanted to put forward a question - why is being a geek considered negative?

In the early years of my life I always assumed this was a bad thing. This was largely down to my primary school, it wasn't particularly pleasant place and the children weren't the best, however I was lucky (although I didn't think so at the time) enough to have strict parents who avoided me becoming like that. But in those days, being called a geek was an awful insult. I think even in my school now, where the people are nearly 18, these kind of insults are still seen as as negative. But in reality, a hard working person with the ambition to strive isn't really a negative thing and I don't understand why this label has a typical stereotype. Anyway, with that out the way lets head onto the fashion!
